Isaac was called to the bar in 2010 and has been practicing in business law. Meaghan was called to the bar in 2009 and has been practicing securities law. Both lawyers articled with national law firms.

Our New Partners – ANGELA AUSTMAN AND MIA BACIC

McCullough O’Connor Irwin LLP is pleased to announce the admission of Angela Austman and Mia Bacic as partners of the firm.

Angela Austman was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2002. Her practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance of both public and private entities, principally in the resource sector. Ms. Austman has represented clients on a wide range of transactions, including private equity and venture capital financings, public offerings, private placements, take-over bids, stock exchange listings, property acquisitions and joint ventures. She also represents investment funds, including mutual funds, in connection with fund formation, portfolio acquisitions and financing.

Mia Bacic was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2003. Her practice is focused on transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, share or asset sales and joint ventures, equity and debt financings of public and private entities, and private equity and venture capital financings. She also acts for both lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions, and institutional dealers in equity and debt financings. Ms. Bacic provides assistance to clients in all aspects of corporate and securities law matters, including assisting companies in their compliance with the requirements of securities regulators and stock exchanges.

The awards are given based on peer survey responses. Finance Monthly is a UK based publication with 48,000 subscribers which covers global corporate finance and M&A transactions.
