Dodgeball! – MOI Hosts Second Annual Tournament
On May 19 and May 26, 2010, we are hosting our second annual dodgeball tournament to raise funds and awareness for imagine1day, a great Vancouver based charity which is building primary schools in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. This year’s event will be bigger and better than the first. We would like to thank all participating teams, including Lundin for Africa – Namdo Management, lululemon athletica inc., Haywood Securities Inc., PI Financial Corp., Mogo Money, Davidson & Company LLP, Pacific Opportunity Capital Ltd. and Costless Express. Victor J. O’Connor Charity Golf Tournament
MOI is very pleased to be hosting the first annual “Victor J. O’Connor Charity Golf Tournament” on June 1st at UBC Golf Course. The Tournament is being held in memory of one of our founding partners, Vic O’Connor, who passed away in January 2009 after a five year battle with mesothelioma, a form of lung cancer. We have received tremendous support from clients, securities dealers and other friends of the firm and the tournament is now sold out. The majority of the funds raised will be used to support charities and causes that promote research and awareness for mesothelioma. Some of the funds raised this year will be used to permanently endow a bench at Spanish Banks in Vic’s name. We look forward to making this an annual event.
