David Gunasekera, a partner of the firm, regularly acts for both securities dealers and issuers in equity financing transactions including private placements and prospectus offerings. He also assists reporting issuers in complying with all stock exchange and continuous disclosure requirements and acts for early-stage private companies. Mr. Gunasekera has experience in take-over bids, joint venture agreements, asset and share acquisitions and reverse take-over and change of business transactions. Mr. Gunasekera is a member of the Securities Law and Business Law subsections of the CBA.
From June 2001 to July 2002, Mr. Gunasekera was seconded to the British Columbia Securities Commission where he worked as legal counsel in the Legal and Market Initiatives Division.
