Elliott Mak is an associate of the firm. He received his LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 2007 and was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 2008. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Mak practiced corporate and securities law at a large Western Canadian regional firm in Vancouver. He is a member of the Securities Law and Business Law subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.
Elliott practices corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on corporate finance and securities. He advises both private and public companies in a broad range of transactions, including public debt and equity financings, private placement financings, share and asset acquisitions, takeover bids, corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. Elliott also provides advice on continuous disclosure and other regulatory requirements.
Elliott has particular experience assisting publicly listed issuers in the mining industry, including those issuers listed on both the TSX and ASX.
