Lesley Hobden is an associate of the firm. She regularly acts for both securities dealers and issuers in equity financing transactions including private placements and prospectus offerings and acts for early-stage private companies. In addition, she assists reporting issuers in complying with all stock exchange and continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters. She has experience in take-over bids, joint venture agreements, asset and share acquisitions and reverse take-overs and change of business transactions. Ms. Hobden’s practice also includes advising both private and public investment funds from early-stage formation and structure to public offerings and compliance with securities legislation.
Ms. Hobden obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 1991 and a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2003. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2004. In 2009, she completed her Masters in Law with a specialty in securities law from Osgoode Law School, York University. She is a member of the Securities Law and Business Law subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.
