Mia Bacic is a partner of the firm. She regularly assists clients in all aspects of corporate and securities law matters, including the requirements of securities regulators and stock exchanges, and represents public companies, mid-market businesses, and smaller entrepreneurial operators. Her practice encompasses a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, share and asset sales, joint ventures, equity and debt financings of public and private entities, and private equity and venture capital financings. She represents clients in various industries, including clean energy, mining and construction. Ms. Bacic also acts for both lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions, and institutional investors in equity and debt financings.
Ms. Bacic obtained her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 2002 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2003. Ms. Bacic also holds a civil law degree obtained from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina in 1993. She is a member of the Securities Law, Business Law and Banking Law subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.
