Fund Formation
The firm represented British Columbia Investment Management Corporation in connection with its US$100 million investment in Blackstone Capital Partners VI, L.P. (“BCP VI”). BCP VI is a limited partnership formed under the laws of Delaware which will have a maximum of US$20 billion in capital commitments, and will focus on equity and equity-related control-oriented investments in large-cap companies in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. The investment closed in June 2009.
