Harmac Employee Ownership Group
Reorganization
We acted as special counsel to Harmac Employee Ownership Group Ltd. in connection with its reorganization by way of a plan of arrangement effective April 2, 2009. The reorganization was undertaken to permit HEOG to obtain registration as an employee venture capital corporation under the Employee Investment Act (British Columbia). HEOG is an employee investment vehicle formed to allow the employees of the Harmac pulp mill in Nanaimo, British Columbia to participate in the ownership of the mill.
