We represented British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, one of the participants in the buying consortium led by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners in the US$7.4 billion purchase of Puget Energy Inc., a public to private buy-out transaction which closed February 6, 2009. Our services included negotiating the terms of the governance agreement among the consortium members, as well as participating in the preparation of key transaction documentation. Puget Energy Inc. is a regulated utility providing electric and natural gas service to residents of the Puget Sound region of Washington State.
