Fund Formation
We represented a syndicate of institutional investors, including Business Development Bank of Canada, Export Development Canada, B.C. Renaissance Capital Fund and Alberta Enterprise Corporation in several rounds of closings for investment in Yaletown Ventures II Limited Partnership. The final round of investment in the approximately $120 million fund closed March 31, 2010. The Fund will invest primarily in equity and equity related securities of information technology and clean power companies in Canada and the United States.
